At the front of the cabin, several cozy seating areas await you in summer, where you can enjoy the view of Trysilfjellet and observe the rich bird life by the fire pit. A family of hares that have lived under the cabin for almost 50 years appear from time to time and add to the special atmosphere. From the cabin, you have easy access to Trysil's world-famous ski slopes and one of Europe's largest ski resorts. In summer you can explore the area's climbing parks, fishing lakes and extensive network of cycle paths, or head to Brannhytta for freshly baked waffles. The ski center with shops, restaurants and après-ski is just five minutes away by car, or about 15 minutes on foot. With a ski pass, the ski bus takes you to the center or village center, and stops at signal 2 minutes walk from the cabin. Ski in/ski out: There are cross-country ski trails right outside the cabin. Meet Thomas The cabin we want to share with you has been in our family since it was built in 1972, as one of the first up here in the high mountains. The three of us who now enjoy this special place are my partner Line, our 17-year-old daughter Leah and me, Thomas. For us, it's always been more than just a cabin - it's a sanctuary where we've experienced countless magical moments together!
