Kristin Anita is working as a teacher in French language as well as theatre and Norwegian language. Lars is a farmer running cattle/beef and growing potatoes for the local marked. Hobbies and interest are language, theater, singing in quire, skiing and spending time in the beautiful surroundings the mountains in the foothills of Rondane and national parks.

Along the main road E6, because in 1864 all the guests came by horse. In those days this was a hotel where you could eat, sleep and get a fresh horse. This lasted until 1894. King Oskar II and his wife Sophie stayed overnight on their way to Trondheim where he way crowned to king 1873. Since then has Skjeggestad been run as a farm with the possibility to rent a place to stay for a night or a longer period of time.

The farm is close to the village Ringebu and the old wooden church from the year 1220 Ringebu stavkirke. Close to the valley about 25 minutes which car du you find Kvitfjell downhill skipark and the nice cross country ski tracks in the mountains of Ringebu
