The house is relatively new and fully furnished with 3 bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen and seating. This house has space for maximum 6 persons. Ideal for a family or group. It also has a large balcony with stunning views of the Porsanger fjord.
In response to the pandemy, additional safety and sanitation we do disinfection with AntiBac and fully Ozone (O3) cleaning off the house between the arrivals.
In wintertime, it is possible to order guided snowmobile tours for Northern Light hunting or ice fishing on one of the many lakes in the arctic wilderness. The trips is from 1 hour to 6 hours. Possibility to drive your own scooter or sit comfortably in the sled.
Smørfjord is a small village on the westside of the Porsangerfjord. It has 80 inhabitants, of which most are traditional sea Sami people.
We (Kristine&Edmund) will do the very best for a lovely stay as our guests.

Introduction in nature, night and aurora photographing can be given.
We can do guided trips with snowmobiles, you will get the chance to drive your own snowmobile to find the northern light or do ice fishing.
The following places can be reached by car within 1 or 2 hours:
• Nordkapp: the most northern point of the European continent.
' Gjesvær, nearby Nordkapp, nice fishing port.
- Trollholmsund - this area is dominated by dolomite (limestone) rocks and stones.
•Hammerfest: Important fishing port with graves from the Stone Age.
•Honningsvåg: The most northern town of continental Europe.
•Havoysund: A beautyful little fishing village. Near one of the largest bird cliffs in Norway (Helmoystauren).
•Lakselv: The administrative center of the Porsanger municipality.
•Karasjok: Here we find the parliament of the Sami population and also an outdoor museum of the Sami population.
•Alta: Petroglyphs (Unesco World Heritage list).
Karigasniemi - the border to Finnland is about 160 km drive from Smørfjord and about 290 km to the nearest finnish airport in Ivalo.

•With the plane to Alta (110 km), or Lakselv (70 km), or through Finland, Ivalo airport (300 km).
•With the Hurtigruten (boat) to Honningsvåg (95 km), Havøysund (80 km) or Hammerfest (83 km).
