This small apartment at Sognevegen 2242 is ideal for tourists who want to visit Bergen or the Sognefjord. If you enjoy hiking in the mountains or fishing in the fjord, you may want to stay more than one night. There are also good facilities for both alpine and cross country skiing just a 25 minutes drive away. Behind the Joker shop, there are trails leading to a "Fairy tale forest" I believe the children will enjoy to visit. There are also facilities in the forest with a barbeque pan free to use. Many people break up a long journey from south to north or vice versa, and stay one night in our place. Here you will have a good night sleep without parking problems. We live close by and will answer questions you may have.
In mid April this year I finished refurbishing the apartment. I have tried to correct everything some of my guests were not happy with, so the following has been modified: 1. Bathroom. 2. New boiler, plenty of warm water. 3. Tendency to mold has been eliminated. 4. Television has been relocated. 5. New flooring in all rooms. Better lightening over the sink in the kitchen. 6. More space for hanging coats and jackets. 7. Occasional bad smell has been eliminated.
There are still things to improve and I will appreciate if my guests will write their suggestions in the comment book on the dining table

Now people from all over the world is coming to stay in this small apartment
What is most important for me is that my guests are satisfied with their stay and feel they have received good value for their money.
From the fall of 1944 and untill 08. May 1945, the mountains in Masfjorden were used as a base for a resistance group, (Bjørn West), againts the German occuppation. The last battle on Norwegian soil took place there in the first days of May 1945. In Matre, (5 km), there is a Museum that provide a great insight into what happened during this period.
