Property information

This modern home with double glazing windows is situated on an elevated section facing north allowing for lovely views of mountains and across the village. With two queen beds, and two bathrooms (one with a full bath), full size bunk beds with inner sprung mattresses, it makes this home suitable for families, adults as well as children. There is a pool table in the garage for your enjoyment. The outside decking around the lounge and dining room has two separate ranch slider entrances, making it ideal for BBQs and outside dining. The large double garage (wood for log burner in it) has off-street parking in front. Sky TV channels include the basic package plus Sky Sports. It has a generous kitchen with plenty of bench space, eye level oven with a choice of fan or bake, a large electric fry pan, slow cooker, sandwich maker and waffle machine. The portacot has a mattress with mattress protector, a sheepskin underlay and one thick blanket. There are no sheets provided for the portacot. Stairs from the front door lead up to one level living.

Neighbourhood information

Hanmer Springs is a lovely small village set in an alpine environment on the edge of the Southern Alps in the South Island of New Zealand. The village is located at an altitude of approximately 400 metres (1300 feet). This provides a crisp clear climate, with snow falling during winter on several occasions. The geothermal nature of the area has provided the beautiful Thermal Springs Reserve in which to relax, and it is second to none other in New Zealand. The combination of the colder climate and the thermal pools normally sitting at 25-42 degrees Celsius, or 77-18 degrees Fahrenheit is both invigorating and relaxing. The lucky guests get to soak in the thermal pools when it is snowing (for no extra charge) - how lucky are they?
