Experience breath taking views overlooking Hawke's Bay as far as the eye can see to the Kaweka and Ruahine Ranges. Birds Eye View is on an elevated site, 4kms south of Havelock North and 30 minutes from Napier Airport. It is not on a bus route. Set on a farm it gives you peace and quiet close to town. Lie in a stunning outdoor bath under the stars, listen to Moreporks and look out onto the lights and views of rural Hawke's Bay.
To catch the HB views the self contained, set on piles transportable, stand alone Birds Eye View is on a rural farm setting and sometimes gets wind. We are a working sheep and beef farm. It has a private fenced in area with plenty of parking. There is 1x Queen size bed, a small ensuite, TV, Wifi, Fridge/freezer, tea/coffee, microwave/oven, single induction cook top, dishwasher, washing machine and a continental breakfast with fresh farm eggs from my friendly chickens for the first two mornings of your stay.
We have a very friendly bunch of animals, including a Burmese cat called Freddy, a Jack Russell called Biddy and a sheep dog called Meg, Who all love people.
The bathroom is small with shower, toilet and vanity. We are not able to supply a GST invoice.
My husband and I consider ourselves to be a polite, happy, friendly, honest, tidy and hard working couple. We are from farming rural backgrounds so we enjoy the outdoors and animals. We have a family of our own whom we are very close to. We enjoy adventure, doing things together and meeting new people.
We enjoy the experience of meeting new people and sharing our knowledge of our area to our visitors. Richard and I will endeavour to help you where we can. We are happy to answer any questions, suggest any fun activities , local eateries and wineries if we are around during your stay. We are not able to supply a GST invoice.
Havelock North is a cute little village with boutique shops, cafes etc and is at the base of Te Mata Peak which the locals call "The Sleeping Giant". It is a mountain that has lovely walks and bike rides or you can simply drive to the top and enjoy a 360 degree view of Hawke's Bay.
Hawke's Bay is commonly known as the Fruit Bowl of NZ with an abundance of blossoming orchards and charming vineyards. Wonderful wineries and beaches all within a 30 minute drive.
Birdwoods Gallery is 2km away at the bottom of our hill. It is definetly worth a visit with its lovely food, wine, Horthorne Coffee, gardens and African and locally sourced retail products.
Hawke's Bay is renowned for its wonderful wineries and beaches which are all within a half hour drive. If you enjoy a walk we have the Endsliegh Road circuit at the end of our driveway. A lovely scenic 4km route through a rural area. Birdwoods Gallery is the perfect halfway refreshment stop.
Our accommodation is close enough to town for a taxi service. It is not on a bus route. We are not able to supply a GST invoice.
