The guest accomodation is located directly across the road from the Otari Bush Reserve. This is an open air native plant museum. Entry is free. It provides a habitat for many of our native birds and now Kiwi have also found their way there. Variable tracks - from a gentle stroll to a day hike. The property has a well developed garden and there is a lot of bird life. It is also immediately across the road from a very good bus service into the city, which takes about 20 mins. I am regularly told by my guests how comfortable the bed is, which I’m very happy about. It makes such a difference when you are away from your own home to be able to sleep well. There is a Weber BBQ in the back garden, which guests are welcome to use , and there is outdoor furniture for dining, as well as a sun umbrella.

I love travelling myself and enjoy making the accomodation a comfortable and easy place for guests to stay. I’m a keen gardener and love nature and the outdoors. You will often see me out and about in the garden working.

As well as being right by Otari Bush Reserve, we are close to Zealandia, an urban predator-free reserve, where endangered species have been introduced back to the mainland. Wilton is a small suburb, known mostly for its leafy environment, but it is also only a few minutes drive away from supermarkets and cafes in the surrounding suburbs.
