Comfortable, modern holiday home with mountain views, located in a quiet cul-de-sac on the Kaikoura peninsula, between South Bay and the town. It’s peaceful yet just a short drive to everything. With decks front and back, there’s great indoor-outdoor flow. The open-plan living area includes a full kitchen, dining space and lounge. The kitchen features a ceramic hob, built-in oven, microwave, dishwasher, and a granite-topped island with dual sink—perfect for entertaining. We’ve recently added a bean-to-cup espresso machine for great coffee anytime. The dining table seats 6, and the lounge includes a leather suite and 55" TV with Freeview and Netflix. You can also stream via Chromecast or play your own music on the Bose Bluetooth speaker. Three bedrooms (1 super-king, 2 queen), two of which open to the deck, offer comfort and privacy. The bathroom connects to the master bedroom via a walk-through wardrobe, functioning almost like an en-suite, and features a large tiled shower. There’s a study with a proper desk if you need to work, and WiFi (fibre) is available via cable or wireless. A fold-up bed is available if needed. Outdoors, you’ll find a BBQ, outdoor seating, and loads of space to relax. You’ll also have access to the adjacent empty section—ideal for parking boats or for kids to play (weather permitting). Kaikoura is my favourite place in the world! I love to come to Kaikoura to go fishing (mostly in my boat), relax, or just stare at the views. My wife, Tong, is originally from China and has been living in NZ since the early 2000's. She loves dancing, especially Tango. She's very bubbly, friendly & out-going. My hobbies are wide & varied. I spent almost 31 years in New Zealand's Naval Reserves, so it is probably no surprise that I love just about everything to do with the sea. I have a boat at Kaikoura, and I use it go fishing, catch crayfish, or just observe the sea life. I also have a passion for vintage & classic motorbikes & cars, as well as woodworking.

We are in a cul-de-sac on top of, and towards the end of the peninsula. This means that it tends to be quiet, with very little traffic. While it is certainly possible to walk into town, or down to the Pier Hotel, we do recommend you have a car. We own the empty section next to us, so there is plenty of lawn to throw a ball around on, or for kids to play. The house has a large gravel drive in front of, and beside the house, so there is plenty of parking for cars & boats etc.
