Enjoy a quiet haven with a great view of Wellington harbour and surrounding hills, easy access to the city (bus, train or car), motorway & Ferry with a backdrop of contemporary New Zealand art. It's adult or teenage friendly, not child or pet friends no matter how cute! Suitable for couples, friends, solo travellers, adult families, and those working remotely.
You'll drive or walk up the driveway, park and then walk up a path or take the steps to the front door and turn and see a panoramic harbour and view of surrounding hills. There’s a path to the back deck to wheel your luggage.
There are two large bedrooms (built in the last ten years). The King has an ensuite (with shower and toilet) and the Twin room has a separate toilet and will use the ensuite shower.
Off street parking (a luxury for Wellington), easy access to the city by bus (bus stop at the bottom of the driveway), train (15 minutes), 10-minutes walking distance to local shops (supermarket, cafes, pub, take aways, pharmacy) & 15 minutes for a bush walk! You'll see we love NZ Art and sharing our baking with you (cookies forever!). A lovely continental breakfast is offered with homemade granola & sourdough bread and fresh fruit.

Lynn loves sharing her city and country with you providing tips and suggestions. You'll see that she is a lover of art and food (a keen baker), reading, gardening.
Widely travelled often to interesting parts of the world, she understands what its like to travel for pleasure and work. In 2023 she mastered the art of carry on luggage - a fete she had not thought possible - admittedly it was travel to the European summer!
With a consulting business she usually works remotely in the change and people space.
Located in a quiet safe suburb with easy access to the city, ferry, neighbouring hills and the local shops its ideal for those with a car or wanting to get away from the CBD in a quiet peaceful suburban environment and handy to the CBD by public transport.(bus or train).
We get great views of the harbour and surrounding hills - which means we are on a hill with a steep driveway to access the house.
You can walk 15-20 minutes to the hills and take a walk up to the top of Mt Kaukau- it may test your fitness or not!
Khandallah village is around 10 minute walk away and it has cafes, a pub, take aways (Chinese, Indian and Pizza) and a supermarket. There is also a dry cleaners, chemist, butchers and womens clothing and gift shops and the very NZ, diary open to 8pm each night.
