It has been specifically designed for groups and multiple families, providing a spacious living environment. The house is split into two levels. Downstairs consists of 4 bedrooms, a laundry with washing machine and dryer, sitting area and private media room with a smart TV. Upstairs has 2 more bedrooms, a guest toilet, an extra-large kitchen, dining area and a second sitting area and balcony where you can enjoy views of the Remarkables Ski field and amazing sunsets. The downstairs deck is perfect for lounging in the sun and eating meals outside in the summer. There is plenty of garden space for kids to roam around. The house is bright and sun soaked all day. It is cosy in the winter months with underfloor heating and radiators. In the summer months it is cooled with underfloor cooling, radiators and ceiling fans. Enjoy the many unique features throughout the house including bespoke lime plaster walls, concrete bench tops and woodwork. There are 4 onsite car park spaces and plenty of parks on the road. The house is only a 5 minute drive to the local shopping centre and 12 minutes to the base of Coronet and Remarkables Ski fields. *A extra foam mattress can be provided at an additional cost. *A travel cot and baby safety gates can also be provided.

We took a break from our careers to build the Shotover Barn which ended up being a 2 year project. As a result of this project Mary now works in interiors and Rory as a builder. We bought an old sheep shearing barn in the central north island of New Zealand. The two of us spent 5 weeks demolishing the barn and shipped a 40 foot container full of native Matai, Rimu and Totara timber down to Queenstown. These are some of the finest native species, renowned for their excellent finishing grades. This wood is now rare and difficult to purchase. The wood in the barn is roughly 100 years old. After taking down the sheep barn and also living in this beautiful area scattered with heritage barns, we were inspired to re-create our own version of a barn using the wood to feature throughout the house. We completed the final year of the build by ourselves, including all the wood-work throughout the house, tiling, lime plaster walls, painting, kitchen construction, the list goes on. It would be an understatement to say this wasn’t a huge journey for us filled with highs and lows, late nights, friends and family and of course a crazy amount of learning and memories.
