Property information

Cosy and warm with great forest & field views, just a few minutes from town. A quiet spot, with an easy 3 minute walk to the lively Junction, with popular restaurants & bars such as the Powderkeg. Old Coach Rd trail is at the end of the street, along with access to hiking & cycling trails & shuttle pickups for the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. A few minutes’ drive brings you to the supermarket and other shops. Open plan lounge/kitchen, with a heat pump/airconditioner There are 2 bedrooms off the hallway each with an electric oil fin heater. Separate toilet and bathroom are also off hallway. The bathroom has a shower over bath - oh so nice to soak in that bath. There is a fold out small double bed in the ottoman, in the lounge - not the most comfy for adults but throw your teenager who will sleep through anything on there, or the smaller kids! The Ohakune Railway Station, a stop on the Northern Explorer Route is down the end of the road. The railway track is on the other side of the street. Off street parking for one car next to the paddock fence in front of the house. Walk up a small grassy verge to the entrance (see the photo) There is also parking on the street. Cleaning fee includes linen. The guest suite is next door to an adjoining airbnb apartment. The shuttle for the Tongariro Crossing has a pick up point 2 minutes walk from the house at the Powderhorn. If you would like to book a shuttle for the Tongariro Crossing please go to the timetable in the dempseybuses website
