Punakaiki, the gateway to Paparoa National Park and famous for its pancake rocks, has cafes and restaurants just 10 minutes away, while Fox River, 5 minutes up the road, hosts a lively craft and farmers market every Sunday in summer. The nearest supermarkets are in Westport (40 km) and Greymouth (56 km).
