I bought this property in 2013 because it was unique and in a unique location. The Pukeko unit was named after the Pukeko that roam around the salt water marsh, 100 meters away. Pukeko on Bay was created for the family when they come and visit. But it is my delight to open it up to other travelers when it is available. A large deck outside the Unit is great for late afternoon drinks or a place to chill and read.
I am retired...at last after spending a life time working in Tertiary Education and Training. I love working with my hands ... beats a life time on computers. Then it the spare time take off on my Motorcycle to clear the cobwebs. My favourite saying is from Yoda "Star Wars" There is no try Do or Do Not. We get enormous satisfaction from ensuring guests have a great time and an enjoyable stay. "What an amazing and comfortable stay. It felt like a home away from home. The host was very kind and helpful and made sure that we had everything we needed. Very clean. Would book again in a heartbeat." Guests from the Netherlands
We are quite neighbour at the end of the Matua peninsula. Bay Street is a Cul-de-Sac the ends with the sea. Its a shallow inlet, when the tide is out you can stroll across the sand flats or around the shore. When the tide is in bird life takes over , and then there are the spectacular sunsets
