Welcome to "The Cow & Calf" Cottages. These are 2 modern self-contained cottages. The Cow Cottage sleeps up to 4 people, great for families and friends. The Calf sleeps 1 and is great for solo traveller. We are semi-rural, yet just 10 minutes' drive from Napier CBD, so you really can enjoy the best of the city and the countryside. We are right by the Puketapu Cycle track (also for walking) so if you are here to cycle or you want to have a lovely walk, we are in the best spot for you to stay. We are just 1 min drive from Shed 530 Bistro & winery & even closer to the Puketapu Pub. The river is a few minutes' walk away, and a lovely place to cool off in the summer. Perfectly located, we are just a few minutes' drive to Taradale, 10 minutes' drive to Napier and 20 mins drive to Hastings. The airport is a mere 15 minutes' drive away. Whether you're here to cycle the tracks, explore the fab wineries and local beaches, go Art Deco, on business or to simply relax, we are brilliantly positioned for you. "The Cow Cottage" has a large open plan lounge and fully fitted kitchen. There are 2 separate bedrooms with one double bed and 2 singles (PLEASE NOTE THESE ARE SMALL SINGLES AND MEASURE 183cm x 65cm). There is a bathroom with shower and toilet. "The Calf" also has everything you will need whilst away from home. You will enjoy your own shower room and toilet, single bed, smart TV, heat pump, microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge. The Cow and Calf are fully fenced and away from the main house (and our 2 staffy dogs, although you are welcome to spend some time with them if you like...they'd love it!). There is ample off-road parking. Each cottage has its own decking and there is a shared outside area. The views are incredible ... just look at the photos.. and it's very peaceful. There is very little light pollution, and we can sometimes see the Milky Way at night. Rest assured that we have secure storage space for bikes (please arrange your own bike insurance).

We love where we live and are very excited to be able to share this beautiful part of Aotearoa with you. We love to potter in the garden, sit on our decking and look at the fab view, walk our dogs by the river, go to the local wineries, the cinema and Dragon Boat. Puketapu is semi-rural. We are directly beside the cycle track, so you can set off straight away on your bike to cycle the Puketapu Loop and onto other parts of the cycle tracks which go to the wineries, and beyond. The Puketapu Park playground is a quick 2 minutes' drive from us. It also doesn't take long to get to either Napier or Hastings. There is TONS of stuff to do in Napier, and Hastings and we're really not far from any of it. Be it outdoor swimming and spas, the fab Sunday Farmers' market in Hastings, museums, cinemas, restaurants, Art Deco celebrations in the summer and all the concerts throughout the year, you will not be bored! We love it here and are sure you'll enjoy your stay here too.
