Tucked away in the head of the beautiful, tranquil Waiotahi Valley, we offer luxurious yet homely accomodation. We are only 1.5 km’s from Thames township with easy access and generous parking including small trailer boats. We have an aviation theme following the owners passion. Bush and sea views, walking and cycling trails all around us from the casual to the advanced off road experience. A casual evening walk to view the Glow Worms followed by a hot Spa and BBQ will round off a great day. We will make every endeavour to ensure you have a wonderful stay with us.
We retired to the friendly little town of Thames to establish our B&B. We love having guests stay and enjoy our property and surrounding attractions. We love the outdoors so have established walking track in the bush, we are only 100m from the Waiotahi Track. Warren loves flying and has a replica P51 Mustang. Our guest lounge has an aviation theme. We also love fishing and enjoy the best Snapper fishing in New Zealand. Please come and enjoy a quiet, secluded, relaxing holiday in our modern B&B. We will do what we can to make your stay special.
Thames is the biggest town on the Coromandel Peninsular, located on the Firth of Thames close to the mouth of the Waihou River. The town is the seat of the Thames-Coromandel District Council. The Māori iwi are Ngāti Maru Forestry and Gold Mining built the town and many of our attractions explain this history in an interesting interactive way Kauri trees were extracted from the Kauaeranga Valley through a series of Dams and steam railway. The DOC Visitors Centre up the Kauaeranga Valley has a working Kauri Dam worth seeing. The Gold Mine Experience, Bella Street Pump House and School of Mines bring this history to life. Great shopping, Restaurants and Cafes let you have a relaxing day out. We have many great events such as Steam Punk, Wings and Wheels plus great music concerts for you to enjoy a great weekend away. So why wait, come and enjoy.
