Welcome ye all to an enjoyable stay, far from the madding crowd!!
Having spent every summer in Murree since the 60’s, we would love to have you experience its serene and fun nature. It has been our home away from home for decades, a place to recharge and rejuvenate whenever we need a break from the hectic daily grind of our modern lifestyles.
What to do??
Begin your early, misty morning with steaming, sweet tea from your kitchenette and watch the clouds roll over the mountains as time slows down. You may decide to enjoy a lazy brunch and spend the cool afternoon chilling-out on your private terrace, taking in the sweeping views. A relaxing walk around Governor’s house could be your preferred evening activity. For dinner, you would be spoiled for choice at Kashmir Point ( Murree Safari Train - Food Court) with its 12 outlets serving everything from Pakistani to Chinese. A late night game of Ludo, Monopoly or Cards with your loved ones could be the perfect way to end your day, unless you decide to watch a movie on the flat-screen TV, or read a thriller from your library as you curl up in your cozy bed.
A couple of minutes walk from Crazy Mountain Retreat is Murree Safari Train. Its adjacent Food Court has a large variety of restaurants specializing in traditional Pakistani cuisine and its ever popular BBQ.
An amusement park with rides for children (and the young at heart) is a further 7 minutes away.
Eight minutes walking in the opposite direction gets you to Governor’s House, around which you will discover the most serene, half-kilometer walk through tall, whispering woods. You may stop for coffee or ice cream at Hot Spot on the way back or buy corn from the road-side for a healthy snack.
Noor’s Corner Shop, at the entrance of your private road, carries all essential, from mineral water and toothpaste, to coffee and chocolate.
For serious shopping, a leisurely walk down to the Mall takes 20 minutes. It’s best to go there early in the afternoon or late at night, if you want to avoid the crowds.
