Casa da Petra is an ample two-storey family home with ideal spaces for indoor and indoor gatherings. It was built upon the ruin of a century-old stone house, utilising as much of the original volcanic basalt as could be salvaged. It sits upon the island's south-facing slope, nestled among the untamed greenery, and offers a panoramic view of Pico Island and its eponymous mountain, as it rises from the vast Atlantic to pierce the clouds.
