Charming House Marquês is a guest house located in Porto a 3-minute walk from the Marquês Metro Station. Free WiFi access is available in all areas. Featuring access to a pleasant terrace with garden areas, Charming House offers various types of suites equipped with flat-screen TV, heating, wooden floors and private bathrooms. Some rooms are interconnected and offer views of the streets, the garden and the terrace. At night, tea, coffee and cookies are provided. A great variety of eateries from the most traditional to the most simple is within walking distance. The very centre of Porto, Aliados Avenue is a 10-minute Metro trip and the World Heritage Ribeira area is 2.6 km away. Across the Douro River through the D. Luís I Bridge guests can visit the famous Port Wine Cellars. The Marquês Metro Sation and the emblematic Santa Catarina Street featuring traditional commerce and neoclassical buildings are a 3-minute walk away. Porto International Airport is 15 km away.

Important note: The building has an old architecture, and the acoustic performance is not the best. Enjoy your stay!

This part of the city was known as Brandy Circut because there are supposed to be brandy stills following this space. In 1882, this square acquired its current name on the centenary of the death of the Portuguese political leader Sebastião José de Carvalho e Melo (Marquês de Pombal). The square includes a romantic garden, two fountains, and a bandstand. Densely wooded, it is very popular on hot days and by pensioners who play Swedish and domino games here. The metro is in the zone, so you can quickly move around the city in a few minutes.
