Breathe, Eat, Walk and Sleep well are some of the essentials for your stay at M Butterfly.
A modern and spacious space with all amenities and complete privacy. A reference for vegetarians and vegans in central Portugal.
The electricity supplied comes from green energy, renewable sources and our own production of solar energy.
The reuse, recovery and recycling of materials, equipment and organic waste are part of our daily practice and that is why we have our own deposits identified for this purpose. We compost organic waste to fertilize our garden.
There some outdoor chill out spots with a shower, chairs, an excellent view to have the breakfast or at night to see the stars.
There’s also a vegetable organic garden for own consumption and to avoid food waste we have a form on eating habits available for guests who wish to attend our workshops on vegan eating.

A very special place, with many stories, with around 1200 inhabitants (in the entire parish) where the shepherdesses D. Leonor and D. Maria walk their flock of sheep and goats and the baker Paulo delivers fresh bread every day to the door. And the best?! Enjoy the virgin nature that we have around us. Several walking paths are included, where you can find various species of native flora, various birds and wild animals.
About 5 to 15 minutes away by car we have numerous other attractions linked to nature and cultural tourism, such as the church of Alvorge, the wooden mills of Outeiro (unique in Europe), the Monumental Complex of Santiago da Guarda, where you can find a late-Roman villa from the 4th and 5th centuries, discovered only in 2002, with one of the largest Roman panels on display. About 15 minutes away we have the largest Roman record in Portugal from more than two thousand years ago, the ruins of Conimbriga. Next to the ruins is the Monographic Museum in Condeixa a Nova and you can also visit the Roman Portugal Museum in Sicó (POROS). The river beaches are of extraordinary natural beauty due to the landscape setting and environmental responsibility that the municipalities had, as is the case of Fragas de S. Simão in Figueiró dos Vinhos, with the schist village of Casal de S. Simão or Louçainha beach, not to be missed. About a 15-minute drive away, we have one of the most beautiful waterfalls, Pedra da Ferida, which requires following a pedestrian trail of around 1 km, through the middle of the forest, always following the water cycle.
