The Mira D'Ouro is one of the oldest buildings in the town and once housed Serta's first bakery. It was called the Pastelaria D'Ouro and we have reused their logo from 1940. We speak Portuguese, English, Spanish and Dutch. At the time of booking you will be given a contact number and should you encounter any problem, we have several local staff available. The public areas of the property are equipped with CCTV.

The Mira D'Ouro Apartments are located in the ancient cobbled streets of the historic town of Sertã, which is deep in the hills, lakes and forests of rural Portugal. Perched on a ridge overlooking the river, the apartments are close to the Castle, the Clube da Serta and the Miradouro viewpoint. The historic Mira D'Ouro building was sympathetically refurbished in 2024 to create 4 modern luxury apartments, for visitors to this beautiful region to enjoy. Each apartment has its own private terrace with a wonderful view of the distant hills and river beach / public swimming pool, which is just a short walk away down the stairs. Every apartment has a full kitchen with hob, oven , kettle , toaster, dishwasher and wine fridge. As well as cutlery, plates, glasses and basic pots and pans. Every bedroom has an en-suite shower room and two super soft cotton towels are provided for each guest. Shampoo and soap are provided. The luxury bed sheets are made of the finest 300 thread count Portuguese cotton. Every bedroom and living room area has a TV with its own MEO andriod box, allowing access to over 200 channels, including Portuguese, English, Spanish, French, German, Chinese and Arabic. You can also access Nexflix using your own account. The first floor apartment has its own private BBQ room to allow you to char-grill for your friends and family. A bag of charcoal is provided. On arrival we have an easy to use, multi-lingual Self Checking-In Machine will program your room key card. Please have the Booking Reference or Confirmation Number from your email ready. Please note, we do not have a lift and you will need to carry your own bags to your apartment.

Once a stronghold for both Lusitanians, Romans and eventually the Knights Templar, the old town of Sertã is perched high on a ridge over looking the joining of two rivers. Attractions include- Sertã Castle (3 mins), has beautiful views across the town from its old tower plus the great story of Celinda and her frying pan, from 2000 years ago, Clube da Sertã (2 mins), a 1930's theatre and bar, still a center of entertainment and live music, especially on Saturday night. The Miradouro and Pelourinho (2 mins). A beautiful view-point square, centred by a stone monument where the criminals of olden times were tied and flogged. Sertã River Beach and Public Swimming Pool (4 mins). The best place to swim and enjoy the summer. There is a mini-supermaket and cafe 2 minutes walk away at the Praca de República Parking As is common in the historic town centers of Portugal, parking directly in front of the building is not possible. There is a short stay space 20m past the building where you can unload. There are multiple locations for longer term parking within a few minutes walk. Nearest airports are Lisbon (2.5 hours) and Porto (2.5 hours drive).
