O Templário Sonolento (The Sleepy Templar) is a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom renovated historical home at the foot of Convento de Cristo right in the heart of the historical center of Tomar. Walk to all the main attractions: the convent, Praça da República, the Synagogue, museums, the azulejos factory, churches and the river Nabão. Many restaurants and shops nearby. The house has a living room with dining area and a small but well equipped kitchen on the ground floor. The master bedroom (queen bed) with ensuite bathroom is on the first floor, and the smaller bedroom, also with ensuite bathroom, is under the eaves on the second floor and has two single beds. The perfect place for your visit to Tomar! Please note: as the place is centrally located there may be some noise from the street. Furthermore, we have airconditioning and heating in the living room and bedrooms. The place has a winding staircase which makes it unsuitable for people who can't climb stairs. The place is cleaned between bookings but not during your stay.

I am Dutch, but have lived overseas most of my life, working as a Marketing Director. I am married with two grown daughters and am currently enjoying life in the Portuguese countryside.

O Templário Sonolento is located on an old narrow cobbled road at the foot of the Convento de Cristo, a few steps away from the Praça da Republica, right in the center of Tomar. There are many restaurants nearby, including a bakery and coffee shops. It's a 1 minute walk to the park and to the parking and a pretty but steep 10 minute walk to the convent. The river front is no more than 5 minutes on foot. It is best to park your car, either in the car park (Parkhouse), very near the house or along the streets for the duration of your stay, as you can easily walk to the main attractions of Tomar. Free parking is also available at the Judicial da Comarca (5 mins walk).
