With free Wi-Fi, Horta d’Alva is in central Castelo Branco. Set a 5-minute drive from the landscaped Bishop’s Palace Gardens, it has lots of free parking spaces. Featuring parquet floors and wooden furniture, the simple, air-conditioned rooms provide a cable TV and private bathroom with bath or shower. Breakfast is served daily in the breakfast room with traditional blue Portuguese tiles on the walls. There are several restaurants within 15 minutes’ walk. Castelo Branco City Park, with its green spaces and water features, is a 5-minute drive away and there are 2 shopping centres within a 10-minute drive. Horta d’Alva Guest House is around 10 minutes’ walk from Castelo Branco Train Station. The Spanish border is around 1 hour away by car.
