Company information

The company Casa do Pelourinho, Lda was created in 2016 by Leonor and Marta - mother and daughter - who decided to rebuild an old family home and venture into the tourism sector. Although having always lived in Lisbon, both spent long stays in Gavião and grew up with the traditions and stories passed from generation to generation. Each stay is carefully prepared to become an exclusive experience in a cosy and quality environment, creating unique memories.

Property information

Senhora da Praça, which means Lady of the Square, is an XVIII-century house full of History and stories, recently renewed with great care. Home to José Chambel Heitor de Andrade, whose initials can be seen on the balcony, it passed on to a granddaughter, Teodora, who is said to have hosted many balls there. Always in the family, this house had many different purposes, from a police force's headquarters to a tax office until, almost in ruins, it was brought back to life.
