Living in a historic property with a current farm-to-table business keeps the pace lively and close to nature in this friendly establishment. Owners Tomas and Amy are restoring this school house into a creative mix of Swedish handicraft, forest influences and small-scale self sufficiency.

Property information

Baggå skola B&B is situated in a rural school house from 1884 next to the river Hedströmmen in Västmanland county. Two hours from Stockholm and one hour from Örebro or Västerås, our location makes it an ideal speedy getaway back to the basics. Our rooms are unique and charming with many details from the years as a school house. Currently, Swedish-American pair Amy and Tomas run a small organic farm with cafe during the summer season. Guests at Baggå Skola enjoy homemade breads and jams year long in their simple and elegant breakfasts (included in the price for most rooms).

Neighbourhood information

Baggå Skola is a peaceful gem on the edge of Malingsbo-Kloten Eco Park with great opportunities to be close to nature just outside the door. Hiking, swimming, fishing, mushroom and berry picking. Enchanted forests surround this small scale organic farm. A popular farm-to-table cafe in summers and weekends in spring and fall is open on the property. Winters are peaceful and beautiful with a easy access to cross-country skiing and a short drive to Swedens cheapest ski rental and lift ticket. An annual Harvest Market on the grounds of Baggå Skola makes a great weekend trip to this enchanted area.
