The Passero Homestead, where the holiday house is located, lies at the junction of the Prekmurje plain and the picturesque Goričko area. It is only 1.5 km away from the Moravske Toplice spa resort. The holiday house offers two renovated, retro-inspired apartments that can accommodate up to eight guests. Preserved or restored pieces of furniture from the homestead are paired with contemporary details and modern comforts. We swear by a genuine, homely atmosphere and warmth. Breakfast is available on request – we will be happy to prepare a good morning breakfast box with the finest foods from the homestead, such as fresh-baked farm-style bread, Prekmurian ham, various spreads and jams, as well as excellent fresh-squeezed juices. Among other amenities, the homestead boasts a farmers’ shop, which offers a variety of local delicacies, and a country chocolaterie, where you sample local flavours paired with chocolate. There is also a cafeteria, the Little Café, where you can enjoy some coffee or herbal lemonade with Prekmurje’s famous cake – gibanica, fresh-baked pies and natural ice cream. On the lawn behind the homestead, we have set up a little area for children to play and a quiet spot for sitting under the trees. We believe the homestead will be your home away from home. It is a pleasant starting point for trips around the area and beyond.
Welcome to the Passero Homestead. My name is Jasmina. I run our family-owned business – which was started by my great-grandparents – together with my husband and parents. We are a very close-knit and hospitable family, which is reflected in our work. Our family boasts a wealth of knowledge and skills in winemaking, food processing and the art of chocolate making. Together with our extended team, we make sure we always have a wide variety of the finest regional delicacies and look after the well-being of our guests. In my free time, I take care of my well-being and my favourite spare time activities are reading, running in nature and playing with my children.
The Prekmurje region, i.e. the Pannonian part of Slovenia on the eastern side of the Mura river, offers numerous possibilities for cycling and walking trips. While exploring the area, you can discover a number of cultural and natural attractions, e.g. you can visit the church in Bogojina, designed by Plečnik, a world-renowned architect, the Rotunda chapel in Selo, the pottery village in Filovci and Slovenia’s largest castle. You can learn all about Prekmurje at the Pomurje Museum and at the lakeside Expano pavilion in Murska Sobota. A must-see for flower aficionados is the Ocean Orchids greenhouse, tomato lovers are bound to love the Lušt Homestead (Luštna domačija), where the lušt tomato variety is grown, and those looking for a bit of excitement, should head to the Vinarium watchtower with a zip-line. The best recreation and relaxation spots are the Goričko Nature Park, Vid’s Spring and Lake Bukovnik with an energy trail, where you can recharge your batteries. Prekmurje is a family- and athlete-friendly destination. Last but not least, the Passero Homestead is located near a spa resort with a wellness centre and golf courses.
