The accommodation is set in a lovingly restored heritage mill with a working watermill and an ethnological corner. Guests are offered a cozy double room with a spacious wardrobe, writing desk, and mini fridge. The bathroom and kitchen are shared with the host, who ensures all spaces are clean, warm, and welcoming. The kitchen is well-equipped (oven, microwave, kettle, stovetop), and the bathroom includes a shower, bidet, hairdryer, and toiletries. Guests enjoy a private entrance, access to a garden, outdoor dining area, washing machine, free Wi-Fi, and free parking. Friendly cats live on the property and may greet guests outside, but they remain outdoors. I’m Marija, your host at Mlin Umetnin – Artistic Retreat, and the caretaker of this fairytale homestead where Slovenian traditions come to life. For years, I’ve been passionately preserving our cultural heritage through pottery, milling, pyrography, and beehive panel painting – crafts passed down through generations. As a host, I do my best to make every guest feel welcome, comfortable, and at home. I live in the same house, so I’m available if you need anything, but I also respect your privacy. We share the kitchen and bathroom, which are always clean and fully ready for your use. I love sharing the story of our mill and introducing guests to traditional arts. If you’re feeling creative, I warmly invite you to join one of my hands-on workshops in pottery or woodcraft – everything is relaxed, personal, and surrounded by nature.
