Under The Castle Apartments Ljubljana contains five apartments: a ground-floor apartment A, a standard apartment B, a studio apartment C, a one-bedroom apartment D, located on the first floor, and a penthouse apartment with private balcony PH on the third floor. Apartments are located in a more than 450-year-old building, which has become an official cultural monument. The structure was developed in phases, with the initial part being a section of the current building as part of the Defense Wall of Ljubljana Castle, including a watchtower, perched on the green castle hill. The building is theoretically part of the infrastructure of Ljubljana Castle. Gradually, the building expanded and was reconstructed into its present form in three parts. As the building is part of the Ljubljana city walls, staying at Under The Castle apartments essentially places you in the heart of the old town of Ljubljana, extending from the city walls onward. Under The Castle Apartments are situated in Ljubljana's historic old town, right next to pedestrian-only area. However, despite the pedestrian zone, it stands out as one of the few remaining accessible by car or taxi, offering convenience and ease of access. Nestled on the verdant slopes of the castle hill, it provides a tranquil and picturesque setting for your stay. The building has two entrances, each offering its unique charm. From one entrance, you can step out from the Ljubljana city walls and directly onto the Funicular Railway to Ljubljana Castle. Here, on the square where the funicular begins, you can enjoy coffee, breakfast, lunch, dinner, or dessert just a few meters from the back door of Under The Castle. On the other side of Under The Castle Apartments, stepping out leads you into Old Ljubljana City. The walking path at Ljubljana Castle and numerous footpaths around the hill itself offer the perfect setting for those who like to take a short walk or jog in nature. You step out of the house directly onto the walking path that leads to Ljubljana Hill Castle in just 10 minutes (a nice peaceful walk or jog) or guides you towards the vibrant city center. Within a minute, you can stroll to the main Ljubljana marketplace. Throughout the main market, you can reach the River Ljubljana, Locks Bridge, and Dragon Bridge in a minute. Nearby, you can also find Market Spar and Ho-fer, as well as the Kapitel parking garage (3 minutes from the apartment). Within a total of 3-5 minutes walking distance, you can visit Prešeren Square and the central stone bridge Triple Bridge, Robb Fountain, and also nearby (7 minutes walking) there is a part of the city with rich evening events, shops, and all major city events, where you'll find an infinite number of tasty restaurants and cafes. The main train and bus station is just a 10-minute walk away.
