Vinoteka Brda

Vinoteka Brda appartaments are located in the beautiful medieval village of Šmartno with fantastic sunset views and the coolest wine bar located under the appartaments, where you can taste different wines from the region paired with delicious prosciutto and various cheeses. Please, take notice that the wine bar in the summer days is open from 11am to 21pm. The appartments offer a kitchnnete and dining area, king size bed and a spacious shower room. The vegeterian breakfast consist of jogurt, milk, muesli, jams, honey, apple juice, glutten free biscuits, fruits and coffee.

Brda is mostly cultivated with vineyards and orchards. A nature explorer will discover many interesting things about geological, climatic and botanical features in this unspoiled nature. Šmartno is situated in the geographical centre of Brda. Like some other villages and fortifications that were built to protect the people against the Turkish raids in the region of Brda and the whole Primorska, the remarkable historical value of Šmartno is given to the village with the status of a cultural monument of the first order. The houses in the centre of the village are grouped closely together around the Baroque Church of St. Martin. The feeling of medieval labyrinth is even more present when you enter the Gothic house., which was named after a very interesting gothic portal made of stone, that today leads to the cellar of the house. There is a so called painter's house, where several workshops are held and where many objects of art are created.
