Property information

This community project offers beautifully handmade accommodation. We are a community project dreamed up by the Thynne’s who moved to eSwatini (Swaziland) with their niece Georgia-Mae from the UK in 2017 and with the aid of 38 local community members we made it a reality. Set within the mountainous community of Ncabaneni and sitting on the edge of the Ngwempisi wilderness area sits our rural lodge. Built in the traditional way of yesteryear (1800’s) with modern day luxuries waiting for you inside.. The ingenious structures from yesteryear (Guca sithandaze.) are built according to the old methods with some modern touches including toilet and shower, solar lighting with USB phone charger. The huts do not have electric power, but our eating area is fully equipped to provide for the power hungry. Mornings: All rooms are provided with tea, coffee, chocolate and a hot water flask. This is also available on request during the day. Ncabaneni sites on the very edge of the Ngwempisi wilderness and boasts fantastic mountain views, bird life as well as beautiful hiking trails.
