Although there is no designated parking space if one blocks the driveway of a private home they are safe from tickets
(except for street cleaning and the times for those are the last and 3rd Monday of the month from 11: to 1).
This is always available as long as the guest is here to move the car if I have to leave my garage.
And, although smoking is not allowed indoors a guest is welcome to use the deck, front porch, or yard to smoke.
