Len is a well traveled Brit having visited or lived in over 50 countries, and is a musician who plays clarinet and sax. Katie loves to travel as well and is very involved in the local community as President of the Local Chamber of Commerce and on the Visitor's Bureau Board. Pine Mountain lake is nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains at an elevation of about 2,500 ft. We rarely get snow in Groveland, but there will be snow in Yosemite National Park. During the winter you will need to carry chains. If you don't have chains you can buy them at Yosemite Adventure Supplies next to Mar-Val Supermarket. You can return unused chains for a small fee.
