My partner, Jack and I are developing Country Diamond and the Ranch as a place for folks to get back to the outdoors, without being in a crowd,. We are building off-the-grid cabins and setting up a space for folks traveling with horses to stop for overnight or to ride for a few days. It is all part of us wanting to treat you to a great stay! Jack loves horses, dogs and the outdoors. I love outdoors,cats, and traveling so it is always fun to visit with people from all over the world. Plus it gives me a chance to pay back the hospitality I have received in my word travels.

Country Diamond is all about getting back to the basics. The house sits on 170 acres of land in the Loess Hills in Western Iowa. If you are staying awhile, you can hike, birdwatch, watch wildlife, fish, horseback ride or just set on the patio and read a book. Listen and all you hear are birds and the rustling of leaves in the trees.. At night, set under the stars and listen for coyotes and the bobcats. We also welcome quests, who are just passing through for one night. We are less than 10 minutes from I-29 and HWY 2 exchange so it is easy to go many places from here.

We are in extreme Southwest Iowa just thirty five miles from Omaha, Ne and Council Bluffs, IA with all of the amenities of the big cities including the world class Omaha Zoo.. Besides enjoying the outdoors, there are historical attractions close to here that tell about Lewis and Clark, John Brown, the slave underground to freedom, and the settlement of Western Iowa. Nebraska City is close with the Arbor Day Lodge. John Brown's Cave and the Lied Conference Center
