Becoming an innkeeper was my way of honoring my late husband and the dream we shared of running a bed and breakfast. The Emig Mansion fills my life with joy and connection, offering a space where I meet wonderful people from all walks of life. I treasure the moments spent over breakfast, hearing guests’ stories, and being a confidante to those who feel at ease sharing their journeys.
My family has been part of American history since the early 1600s, first settling in the Massachusetts Bay Colony. By 1708, they had established roots in South Central Pennsylvania, making me a proud 13th-generation Pennsylvanian. One of my ancestors is commemorated on the Pennsylvania Monument at Gettysburg, a testament to their role in shaping our nation’s history. As a public historian, I am passionate about preserving The Emig Mansion’s history and sharing these stories with guests.
