The house was built in 1882. The guest suite is separated from the rest of the house in the basement and is accessed by its own entrance. As with any older home, the floors upstairs may be creaky and you might hear the plumbing. Please note that there is free parking on the premises for economy or compact sized cars only. The space is small and I have seen the city ticket large vehicles for blocking the sidewalk. There is a garage very close to the guest space and easy to find street parking available at your own risk (please see posted signs). First, and foremost, make yourselves at home! Please use any part of the guest area itself except the utility room. Please note that the wood stove in the bedroom is not functioning. The space is heated and cooled by a heat pump, and has kitchenette amenities (no stove / no oven - see specifies in listing).

I live in the upstairs of the house along with my family, you might hear us upstairs or see us going in and out of the front door or in the backyard. If you have questions about what to do or where to go, just ask! I'm often in the backyard having a fire, if so, feel free to come out and enjoy it with me. No problem if you’d prefer privacy, If you need me, I am available via the platform, call, or text.

The house is five minutes walking distance from the Portland Sea Dogs, West End restaurants, coffee shops (Holy Donut is seconds away) and Deering Oaks Park with a farmers market every Saturday. The arts district, Old Port, Commercial Street, etc. is about a 20 min walk or a 5 minute ride. There are 7 beaches in driving distance as well as lighthouses. Come see what Portland, ME has to offer.
