This beautifully renovated lakefront retreat, presented by StayBettr Vacation Rentals, is perched hillside for sweeping views of Swinging Bridge Lake. Outdoors the deck includes table seating, gas grill, and patio heater. Off the deck in the yard you will find a fire pit and a hammock. COMING EARLY JUNE: The lakefront amenity area includes a grassy lawn, fire pit, and kayak dock. Several kayaks are available for your use as well.

Swinging Bridge Reservoir is the largest largest lake in the Sullivan Catskills, and one of the few that allows motor boats. You'll feel removed from the city, but still within 20 minutes of groceries and things to do. The neighborhood is a mix of seasonal homes and year round residents. A public boat launch is nearby, and just around the corner are two full services marinas--Starlight and Swinging Bridge Marinas. I recommend having car for your stay. Taxis are available, but ride sharing services are more sparse. Rental car services are available in Monticello. Shortline Coach Bus Service provides service between New York City and Monticello as well. Otisville and Port Jervis Metro North Stations are each approximately 30 minutes drive from the house. The trip from NY Penn Station to Otisville is about 2 hours. Train access is great if you have members of your group who need to arrive/depart at different times.
