NormalBnB was renovated in late summer 2020 and specifically designed as a single-level, comfortable rental space for short-term guests. Our goal is to provide you with the comforts of home in a well-thought, upscale setting with both indoor and outdoor spaces designed for your enjoyment.

Your hosts, Stephen and Cheyne (along with their two cats), love great design, entertaining and meeting new people. We’ve designed NormalBnB as a place we’d like to stay in if we were visiting the area ourselves, with the amenities and thoughtfulness we appreciate from a good host. “Normal” life revolves around our walkable community, the beloved Athens Farmer’s Market, open-air dining, terrific neighbors, friendly people, outdoor activities and parks and a unique community tucked near the UGA Health Science campus and Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital. If you’re visiting Athens, Normaltown is the place to stay. Why are we “Normal?” Normaltown gets its name from the original State Normal School, which trained future teachers, and later became a Naval Supply Corps School. The facility still exists, and is now part of the UGA Health campus. Historically, we were one of the first Athens neighborhoods and our community has evolved over the decades. We were one of the first Athens neighborhoods wired for electricity and our musical venues are proud to have hosted numerous performances by two beloved local bands that went on to international fame: R.E.M. and the B-52s. Though time continues to pass, Normaltown remains a little funky, a little up-and-coming, a little hip and much beloved by its residents and visitors. Looking for the heart of Normaltown?
