Stay in a piece of history - the Rock House of Metaline Falls was built by renowned architect Kirtland Cutter in 1910 and is one of the most unique homes on the National Register of Historical Places. The Rock House sits on a scenic bend of the Pend Oreille River just outside the town center of Metaline Falls, an outdoor recreation paradise and hotspot of regional architecture that hosts six buildings on the National Register.
The Rock House is just a few minutes walk from the historic town center of Metaline Falls; restaurants, a grocer, city park, and other Cutter buildings are within 5 minutes from the front door.
The Rock House is a waterfront property, sited just above a steep cliff down to the Pend Oreille River. Guests are advised to access the river and views of the river rapids and falls from a bridge just off the Rock House property for safety.
The Rock House is located right on the International Selkirk Loop, one of the last (or first) stops at the U.S.-Canadian border, which is only a few miles north of Metaline Falls. Access to the Rock House is on fully paved state and city roads that are maintained in winter and fall.
