Days come alive with outdoor exploration, as almost endless trails lead you through the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest, unveiling hidden wonders. The Lodge has three stories, and all are accessed only by stairs.
4 wheeled drive may be necessary in winter or during times of high rain. There are some dirt roads on the way to the wonderful quiet seclusion of the property that are regularly maintained and suitable to drive by car.
There is plenty of parking available along the driveway and around The Lodge including RV/trailer parking.
Pinedale is a small community and home to the only covered bridge in Arizona. The Verde Trail, General Crook's military trail from Fort Apache to Camp Verde built in the late 19th century, passed through this area. A mile marker for the trail is located just north of the Marreta B. Thomas covered bridge (located on the north end of town on the main road into Pinedale from AZ 260).
Pinedale is about 20 minutes from Show Low where there are many stores and restaurants since they are not directly in Pinedale. The Livery On 260 is located only 5 minutes from Pinedale and has convenience items, supplies, ice cream, etc. There are gas stations and a Dollar General before Show Low about 15 minutes from Pinedale.
Pinedale is a small, wonderful and peaceful community wonderfully situated in nature away from the hussle bussle and fast pace. There is a combination of paved and dirt roads that are regularly maintained and suitable to drive by car. 4 wheeled drive may be necessary in winter or during times of high rain.
