My name is Huong and I am the homestay owner. Born and raised in this small village, my whole childhood I always dreamed of becoming a teacher. My peers all got married early, and I was luckier than them to go to college in the city. After graduating, I returned to my hometown. But getting a job and becoming a teacher like I dream of is not easy .After that, with the support of a few friends, I worked as a local tour guide since 2010. it's very nice experience that i had chance to meet many people who from diffirent contries. After nearly 10 years work in tourism , i recodnize that most of guests coming to Mai chau, they want to learn more about Thai ethnic minority, Thai cuture and morever they want to stay together with Thai familly and being a part of familly to cook local food, to work in the rice field....Since then i cherish a dream of having a small homestay myself. It's take longer time than i thought to repair my house, make some more beds... and now my dream come true finally. I will try my best to improve it

Little Mai Chau Homestay is a small homestay run by our family. We are Thai ethnic people who have lived here for a long time. Just like other families, there are 3 generations living in my family: my parents, my husband and I and our children. We all share daily work together at the homestay.
When we first opened our homestay, we only had 2 dormitories that could accommodate 10 guests. Our whole family participates in serving guests. My dad helps me clean the garden. My mother looks after me. My husband and I cook and clean the guest rooms together. At first, we only wanted to have 3 customers a day and we would be happy. Gradually, more and more people learned about our small homestay. Some of them are couples or families. They want more private space, so we build bungalows with views of rice fields.
We just keep working and learning more. I am very grateful to the guests who came and gave us feedback to help us improve even more. Every day that passes, we feel very happy to be welcomed, served, and cooked.
Until today, from the first day of opening in June 2018 and after many renovations, our homestay has a total of 14 private rooms, bungalows and 2 domitories, 1 infinity pool, 1 restaurant, 1 bar. small.
Even though we cannot serve in the most professional way, we hope to be able to bring a memorable and satisfying experience to everyone.
