Buster's River Lodge is a self-catering holiday home on the banks of the Crocodile River, with prime views into the Kruger National Park. It is situated in Marloth Park, a nature conservation area, where game roams freely between the homes. There are 4 bedrooms inside the house and additional beds OUTSIDE upstairs on the balcony. These beds are not enclosed, to enable guests to sleep safely outside and experience the hippo's grunting in the river or the Lions roaring in the park. The upstairs decks provide the perfect spots for game viewing. Zebra, kudu, giraffe and warthogs are often seen grazing on the lawn. Bird life is abundant and the distinct call of the African Fish Eagle is heard daily. Sightings of crocodile, hippopotamus, elephant, buffalo and even leopard are possible from the balcony. The indoor living area features a built-in bar facility and couches to relax on with stacker doors leading to the large entertainment area with braai facilities, a swimming pool and ample viewing points. Secure, off-street parking is available for vehicles. This is a thatched Bush Lodge and the decor is rustic to fit in with the natural environment. Buster's River Lodge offers one of the best locations on the river, in Marloth Park, for game viewing in the Kruger National Park. It is situated on the Kruger National Park boundary fence, within 80 km's from Maputo in Mozambique and Swaziland, and in close proximity to some of the most scenic areas of Mpumalanga. Marloth Park has a Bush Mall with a general store, bottle store, pubs, restaurants, kiddies playground and supertube, entertainment, gas station and medical clinic. There are numerous amenities such as health spa's, game drives, hiking trails, fishing trips, available in Marloth Park at an additional cost. If you are expecting a 5-star luxury lodge, then this is not the right place to be. The decor is rustic but all modern appliances such as an ice-machine and dishwasher are available. I live in Knysna in the Western Cape. Buster's River Lodge, was named after my deceased husband, Buster, who loved our home in the bush and the affiliation to nature. When the elephants come down to the river to drink, look out for "Buster the Elephant," with the broken tusk, who keeps a watchful eye over his legacy. Marloth Park is a popular resort for travelllers and tourists to visit as it is situated on the banks of the Crocodile River, bordering the Kruger National Park. It is also ideally situated for travellers visiting Mozambique as it is close to the Border Post and approximately 60kms from Maputo. It is also a short ride to Swaziland plus minus 60 kms. There are three golf courses in close proximity. There are numerous restaurants and Pubs available in Marloth Park. The Club House, which is situated about 1 km from Buster's River Lodge, has tennis courts, a large swimming pool and restaurant facilities. The Bush Mall is approximately 5 km from Buster's River Lodge and has a supermarket, bottle store, laundry, butcher shop, pub and various restaurants.. There is a supertube and playground for children. There are 2 entrance gates to the Kruger National Park, approximately 20 kms away. The one is at Crocodile Bridge and the other at Malelane. Game Drives and walks are also available in the Kruger Park and in Marloth Park.
