Anchor Drift is one of the few pet friendly venues in St Francis Bay. It is a gorgeous 2 story, 4 Bedroom Thatched Cottage within walking distance from the beach, golf course, restaurants and shops.
The property is fully walled & gated for peace of mind with pets, small kids and security. Plenty of lawn space for playing outside games &/or for parking cars/boats/trailers etc .
An outside shower is provided to wash away the sea sand, after returning from the Main beach and St Francis's famous surf spots. Outside there is a shaded braai/BBQ & sitting area, which is perfect for those warm barmy days & nights. The high thatch ceilings with beautiful beach house design comes together to give a truly authentic St Francis feel to the place.
There are plenty of activities available in this unique village- golfing (2 courses), diving, fishing, deep sea charters (fishing or whale watching), horse riding, hiking along coast or in reserves, canoeing in canals/river, stand up paddling, surfing, swimming or join the locals in the activities happening at the time, canal cruises, sunset cruises etc. For those just wanting to chill, a slow meander or picnic on the beach.
Richard has had 13 years of hosting experience under his belt, ten years on a game farm, had a break for a year whilst moving and these past few years having been in St Francis Bay. Richard says

Anchor Drift Lodge has been kitted out -in an understated, but innovative beachy style. Richard is of adventurous spirit and has climbed Kilimanjaro and trekked in the Himalayas. She has hiked in the Drakensberg , the Fish River Canion, Western Cape, Table Mountain to name but a few. The family have traveled extensively on their 4x4 adventures, throughout Southern Africa, Namibia, Botswana and Zambia.
St Francis Bay is a quaint seaside village with a close knit friendly community vibe. It boasts 2 golf courses, has many restaurants, a good many within walking distance from Anchor Drift Lodge. There is so much to do, for young and old alike. You can hire a bicycle to get around the village and / or for exercise. Go to Quaysyde for pub grub and to hire a SUP (stand up paddle) or canoe, or jump on one of the rental barges for a cruise along the canals . Or just sit there alongside the waters edge, enjoying a cuppa coffee or glass wine etc. Kids can play in huge sand pit and on jungle gym there.
Dinner at the Taverna or Greek restaurant along the shores of the canal.
The hot spot for surfing being at the famous Bruce's Beauties. There are lots of water activities to be had. Sightseeing at Seal Point, birding, whale watching, hiking in the reserve, two harbours walk, boat tours, monthly markets, weekly parkrun , fishing, swimming, paddling, Cape St Francis lighthouse , beach walking, the hunt for the elusive pansy shell etc.
