After more than 32 years of running Ashanti Backpackers we realised that even though we enjoy the backpacking culture - we definitely want to have our own room and bathroom! That's how the idea of the Guest Houses came about. They are around the corner from the backpackers so our guests can use the bar and swimming pool that side, but walk home for a good night's sleep in luxury - comparitively :)

The Ashanti Guest Houses are just 5 minutes walk from vibey Kloof Street which is full of bars and restaurants. We are also just a short walk down to the company gardens where you can feed the squirrels, have lunch, play giant chess, visit the Planetarium or the South African Museum. Of course, there are many other wonderful Cape Town attractions all within walking distance or a short cab drive away - check at our reception desk for more info.
