The Captain's Sea Cabin is a quaint, fully furnished, two bedroomed self-catering cottage with fireplace, sparkling plunge pool and free, on-site, secure parking. It is situated in a quiet close within walking distance to the nearest My Citi stop (Radar) where you may board the #223 bus to Marine Circle (Bloubergstrand beach and the esplanade).
The beachfront area is a mecca for kite surfers, joggers and beach combers with plenty of restaurants and pubs close by. From the esplanade you may observe exquisite views of Table Mountain, Robben Island (UNESCO World Heritage sites) and Table Bay.
From Table View (Bayside) MyCiti bus station, you may connect the T01/03 bus to the City and Victoria & Alfred Waterfront area. Cape Town, and the Cape Peninsula, has a myriad of holiday experiences to offer.
Using the Captain's Sea Cabin as your base, you may enjoy our shopping malls, beaches, restaurants, Two Oceans Aquarium, Castle of Good Hope, Robben Island Museum Tours, Canal & Harbour cruises, Red Bus Tours, Table Mountain Aerial Cable Way, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, Cape Winelands, small fishing villages (Hout & Kalk Bay), Simon's Town Naval Base, Boulders Beach (African Penguin Colony), Cape Point Nature Reserve, Buffelsfontein Game and Nature Reserve (Game Drives within 40 minutes of the cottage) and Hermanus (Whale watching).
In exceptional circumstances we may provide airport transfers, from and to Cape Town International Airport FOR TWO GUESTS ONLY. This service, at a reasonable additional charge, is strictly for cottage guests only. In addition, we shall make every endeavour to be flexible regarding the check-in / check-out times in unforeseen cases and/or emergencies.
For peace of mind, the Blaauwberg Hospital is within 5 minutes drive from the cottage and on the My Citi, #213, route.

Edward is a retired, merchant navy, ship's master (Captain) and Professor of Maritime Education & Training (Nautical Science). He loves engaging with people of differing nationalities and walks of life. We shall strive to make your stay in Cape Town, South Africa as pleasant as possible.
Situated in a quiet close within walking distance of the My Citi route and the Copper Club Restaurant. In close proximity to the beach (Bloubergstrand and Melkbosstrand), shopping malls, Wine Farms. Next to the R27 motorway and forty minutes drive to Buffelsfontein Game and Nature Reserve.
