We started building our dream house after retirement and named the two apartments after our daughters Maya and Mignon. The apartments were purpose build for short-term rental and is completely separate from the main house with private entrances. While building our house in 2024, we uncovered a centuries old pelvic bone of an elephant in the backyard under the milkwood trees- hence the name "Indlovu" which is Zulu for Elephant.
We are retired diplomats that lived all over the world, but returned to paradise.
Vermont is a quiet eco-friendly neighborhood with a fantastic coastline and many protected green areas. Its a great place for a weekend break or relaxed family time. We are literally meters from the coastal path that spans more than 7 km. From August to December you can see whales all over the bay in front of the house. There are numerous wine estates and restaurants within a short drive from the house.
