Verdun Country House has recently been renovated in August 2022. It can be described as a luxury 5 bedroomed, 5 bathroomed farm villa, located in Franschhoek, with breathtaking views. The property has two wings, each with its own lounge, equipped with DSTV, Showmax and Netflix. One lounge has a playstation. There is a fully equipped kitchen as well as laundry. The property has WIFI throughout. There is an outside pool, sitting area and barbeque facilities that overlook the majestic Franschhoek Mountains. There is also a jungle gym available for children. The property has its own borehole. It has solar and battery back up, so no load-shedding issues. The bedroom configuration is as follows: *BEDROOM ONE - King Bed with en-suite bathroom (shower, bathtub, two vanities and toilet). Private, separate access via patio if needed, but can also act as an inter-leading family suite if needed. *BEDROOM TWO - Double Bed with new en-suite bathroom (shower, basin, toilet) (added August 2022). Can act as an inter-leading family suite if needed. *BEDROOM THREE - King Bed with own new bathroom (across the hall) (shower, vanity basin and toilet) (added August 2022). Can act as an inter-leading family suite if needed. *BEDROOM FOUR - Two 3/4 Beds with en-suite bathroom (shower, vanity basin, toilet). Private, separate access via patio if needed but can also act as an inter-leading family suite if needed. *BEDROOM FIVE - Queen Bed (and crib) with en-suite bathroom (shower, bath, vanity basin, toilet).

I would like to offer my guests a very warm welcome to Verdun Country House. It is here where you can really relax and feel at one with nature. There is no rush, everything happens very slowly. Guests are encouraged to enjoy our outside entertainment pool area, which is very private and overlooks the beautiful Franschhoek mountains. You can cook, bake, read, go for walks, talk to my horses, play with our dogs - and generally just kick off your shoes and feel right at home. The house is very private and each room overlooks either the mountains or pool or garden.

Franschhoek is a quick twenty minute walk or 3 minutes by car. You can enjoy visiting the local museum. We are spoilt for choice with restaurants, galleries, shops and tourist attractions - even a local cinema. There are lots of hikes in the area too. We have a beautiful dam. Our bicycles are available for rides around the area.
