Situated on top of a hill 3 kms from the town of Knysna sits Narnia County Guest House, commanding views of the famous Knysna Heads, lagoon, river and Outeniqua mountains. The newly-built house is set in beautiful gardens and guests can enjoy walks to three dams, and the use of the salt water swimming pool. Modern and stylish, the two self-catering units each sleep four and are beautifully appointed, with exceptional attention to detail. The owner's son is a qualified Swedish Holistic masseur and Reiki master and offers treatments on site.
I love life, meeting new people, nature, dogs, my family, my friends, dancing, reading excellent books and watching excellent movies, walking on the beach, swimming in rivers, travel, the Kruger National park, gardening, bird watching, a good laugh, toddlers, old people, my country, Nelson mandela, Desmond Tutu, George Clooney because of the way he looks, Morgan Freeman because of the way he is, the Dalai Lama, beautiful clothes, good food, eating out, cooking for people I like, the Food Channel, whose line is it anyway, anything narrated by David Attenborough, the movie the Intouchables, the book the Kite Runner, roast chicken, banana caramel pancakes, misty rain and the forests in Knysna, train trips, puppies, jive music. My life motto? Enjoy getting older - it's a privilege denied to many!

The Featherbed Nature Reserve is a must-do and which can only be accessed via boat, berthed just 10 minutes away. The Blue Flat beach Brenton on Sea is 12 km away, you can walk the 5km flat beach to another blue flag beach, Buffalo Bay. Enjoy the tranquillity and freshness of the great Knysna forests close by and picnic at Jubilee Creek, next to the babbling stream. And of course no visit to Knysna is complete without visiting the Lookout Point at the famous Eastern Heads, known as one of the world’s most dangerous harbour entries, where the navy sends sea captains and sailors to train, the site of many famous shipwrecks, like the Paquita.
