Beyond these iconic hikes, the valley offers a treasure trove of diverse hiking experiences, from sandy beach strolls to invigorating mountain treks, meandering riverine paths, and captivating jaunts through the lush indigenous forest.
Nestled between the valleys protective embrace are two serene lagoons - the Groot River within the valley and the Salt River. Cyclists are drawn to the challenging mountain pass which has become frequented by renowned teams on their training routes.
The valley is protected and managed by SANPARKS - allowing vibrant wildlife and birdlife to flourish. Close by amenities include the Plett Wine Route, the world's highest bungee jump, and a plethora of wonderful restaurants.
