Sandown Lodge is located in the suburb of Rondebosch, just 9 km from Cape Town city centre. This country-style lodge boasts a garden, terrace and barbecue facilities. The University of Cape Town is 4 km away. All rooms are elegantly decorated in natural and warm colours. Each room contains a private patio and satellite TV. The suites have a little kitchenette for basic self catering and there is a wonderful coffee shop 300m from the Lodge where guests can have breakfast and a number of restaurants serving a range of local and international cuisines can be found within 3 km from Sandown. The suites are serviced daily except for Sundays and Public Holidays Guests can relax in the garden and enjoy reading a book on the terrace. Newlands Rugby and Cricket Stadiums are within 2 km from the property and Rondebosch Golf Club is 3 km away. Free WiFi is available in all areas and private parking is on site.

When the weather's good, I like to walk, cycle or run in the mountains above Rhodes Memorial or picnic in the parks while watching the squirrels collect acorns. When the weather’s bad, I like to go see a show at the Baxter Theatre. To relax and restore my soul, I like to potter around the craft markets and Pottery Markets held on Saturdays in Rondebosch Park.

Sandown Lodge is central and safe, located directly opposite Rondebosch Park. Newlands Cricket and Rugby Stadiums and the University of Cape Town are within walking distance. The Jamie shuttle bus to and from UCT has a pick up point outside our Lodge. For holiday makers, popular tourist attractions including Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, Cavendish Square, Restaurants and the Baxter Theatre are a mere 10 minutes drive away. For business persons and academics, Groote Schuur Hospital, the centre of town and the International Convention Centre are 10 to 15 minutes drive away.
