South Merino is a working merino sheep farm in Richmond, Northern Cape. The farm also has some free-ranging antelope like springbok and kudu - early birds might catch the kudu grazing in the garden. Each room consists of a queen size bed and two twin beds with crisp clean white linnen and an en-suite bathroom with a shower. It is an open-plan unit with a kitchenette and living room overlooking the prickly pear and luscious lawn. Each room has freshly filtered farm water, a Nespresso capsule coffee machine, coffee and tea with home-baked rusks. Dinner and breakfast can be arranged at an additional fee. Each room has a built-in braai on the stoep, and guests can arrange for additional braaipacks with a freshly baked bread and salad. Planning on leaving early?
