Experience our slice of paradise. This self-catering guest house is set in four acres of tranquil, subtropical, park-like splendour in Port Edward. Palm trees, abundant bird life and a very large jewel of a swimming pool create the immediate feeling of being on holiday.
We are wheelchair friendly and can guarantee electricity supply for guests who need this assurance. Water supply is also guaranteed.
Situated only six kilometres from the Eastern Cape border and the Wild Coast, our guest house is ideally positioned for the business traveller, tourist and holiday-maker.
We are also a convenient launch and return point for anyone participating in Wild Coast adventure activities such as cycling, hiking and horseback trail riding. Vehicles belonging to such adventurers can be left in our care and transport can be provided to your starting point.
As part of our efforts to ensure our guests’ needs are met, we guarantee the supply of water and electricity. Uncapped Wi-Fi, DSTv and Open View are also part of the service. Security features are designed to give you complete peace of mind.
This is a self-catering establishment. There are numerous takeaways and eateries in the area, the details of which your hosts can provide. Guests are welcome to use the two brick-built braais in the pool area. Portable braais are also available should you wish to make use of these anywhere else in the garden. Firewood and charcoal can be purchased on the property.
All rooms can accommodate two people and every room has an en suite bathroom. Quality single beds and linen are provided. Each room is equipped with tea and coffee making facilities. Two rooms have kitchenettes and three rooms have access to a fully equipped kitchen and scullery. These latter three rooms are largely intended for family and group bookings so you will not be expected to share kitchen facilities with strangers.
All rooms have external entrances and four of the five rooms have internal access for the convenience of families or groups. The rooms with internal access also have access to a communal lounge area. Port Edward is one of the few remaining coastal villages on the KwaZulu-Natal coastline and so provides all the delights of sea and country.
From the beautiful swimming beach to the stunning Umtamvuna Gorge Nature Reserve, you can indulge in a range of water sports and activities. For the landlubbers there is hiking, cycling, horse-riding, golfing and much more. For the intellectually curious, there are sites of historical, sociological, geological, botanical and zoological fascination. Subject to availability, a qualified and very knowledgeable guide can be arranged to reveal the wonders of this special environment to you. And then for those who simply want to relax and pamper themselves, there is a good choice of beauty/therapy establishments to choose from
